The Casa GHB171CA is a 70cm gas on glass cooktop with five burners on a black glass top: a 13.7 MJ/h triple flame wok burner in the centre, a 10.8 MJ/h rapid burner, two 6.3 MJ/h semi-rapid burners and a 3.6 MJ/h auxiliary burner, for a total gas input of 40.7 MJ/h. It measures 700 x 510 x 103mm (W x D x H) and fits a 557 x 477mm benchtop cut-out.
Each burner has its own pan support and a flame failure device, which shuts off the gas if the flame goes out. To light a burner, push in and turn the knob anti-clockwise, then keep it held in for 15 seconds once the flame has lit. Pans on the triple flame burner should be no wider than 26cm.
It suits natural gas (1.0 kPa) or Universal LPG (2.75 kPa), and comes with a natural gas regulator, an LPG test point adapter and ULPG injectors. The ignition runs from a power cord with a 10A plug, and the cooktop must be installed by a licensed gas fitter.
